Scrap Inn

Just had a weekend retreat with my friend Maria. We went to the Scrap Inn in Rockford. (Hi Kat!! - Happy Birthday!) I got about 2 dozen LOs done. It felt good to scrap again. I miss doing something for me. Here are some of the LOs I finished, but again...somehow I can't get good pics of them! Always at an odd angle to get rid of the flash glare!

This is from a kit I bought from My Sweet Spuds with a few other items mixed in.
This was a Scrapgoods kit. The letters are are Chatterbox painted with twinkling H2O's.

The pics are from Logan's 24 hr EEG. What a man. The pp is Basic Grey with felt embellies. I learned how to use the Cricuit this weeked. Man am I in love!! So can't afford it though. :(

The is a close up from the LO below. "one red mitten?" I felted the mitten from some kind of balls of wool. LOL I made it to match Connor's.

PP and CB is Rusty Pickle. I painted then distressed the CB number. Added buttons. The "RED" is felt letters. The mitten I felted myself. The "?" is CB and a button. The photo corners are Rusty Pickle ribbon folded over the stapled. The photos were distressed with a sanding block as well.bThis was a fun (though painful) LO to make.

The entire background is torn, and scratched color core cardstock. The embellies are Sweet Spud.

Can't remember who the PP is by. The journal box is painted with white gesso as is the frame around the pic. The ribbon is Rusty Pickle stapled around the journal box. Felt Thickers for the title. Daisy D rubon down the side.

Bohemia PP, rubons, bling and frame.

Rusty Pickle pp. Used wire to wrap the "L" and hung a charm. Also used the wire to form the "4". Twist ties were from a really old Scrapgoods kit.

Rockstar pp. The pics are of Logan listening to my Zune. Took a pic of the Zune. You can't tell from the photo that the LO is 3-D. Logan's bottom pic is on pop-dots and layered on a larger photo of the same. The Zune is also on pop-dots (took a pic of that while at the crop and printed it out.) Used wire for the headphones connecting the Zune to Logan. The title "logan" is made from gilded double stick letters. I also put studs in the guitar neck. This was really fun to make.
OK - don't know if any of the above is said in a technically correct manner, but there you have it.

'Tis the Season

It's been a while since I updated this blog. It's been rough around here for so many reasons, but I'm trying to just be grateful that I have three wonderful, loving, healthy boys.

This bank bailout business has me completely annoyed. I paid off part of our line of credit with money we will need in the spring for a new roof (from our insurance company) and to pay our taxes (had to take $$ out of a retirement account). The bank decided to keep those payments and reduce our available line of credit by $5000. Now I have nothing to draw on for taxes and the roof. So the bank took our money in the form of the bailout and now has taken my money again???? Seriously - had I known they were going to jerk me around, I would have put it in a different account until spring!! Now I have to go head to head with them and I just don't have the energy to do it.

The Vikings lost this past weekend despite an AMAZING game by Jackson. I'm so bummed. Can't believe it all comes down to this last game! Just like last year. BTW -I'm pretty sure the kicker for the Packers is a double agent secretly working for the Bears. GRRRRR.

So that's enough negativity...just had to get that out.

Logan had his tubes replaced earlier this month. As before, the difference is incredible! His development booms each time we replace those and he can suddenly hear again.

Connor is doing great. He's a total stinker and incredibly mischeivious. The greatest part is that he hasn't learned how to lie and tells on himself all the time. LOL! He was upset the other day because Logan had beat the snot out of him. As I held him trying to calm him down, I asked him why Logan did that. "Because I hit him first." OK then.

Garrett failed his vision tests at school. Took him to the eye doctor and he could only see the big "E" on the chart!!!! So he now has glasses. He is just too adorable for words!!!! He told me, "It's a good thing I look good in glasses!" I've always worked hard to boost his self-esteem...next lesson must be in humility. ;)

In the next day I'll update my 365 blog with some pictures of everything we've been up to. I do have some posted on facebook (I'm Emma May there).

Next weekend I go scrapbooking with a friend. I haven't done anything since the last LO I posted here. I miss it, but just can't get motivated. A weekend away will be amazing therapy for the soul.

Some more LOs...

Once again...never seem to get a good pick of my LOs.

Jen sent me these adorable journalling blocks!

RP paper, blackboard letters by Cosmo Cricket. Doodled with galaxy something or other pens. Mounted on core CS.

Fancy pants paper. Don't remember manufactures of rest. LOL

A girlfriend called last minute to get me out of the house to go scrappin. I needed it.
